During Jenkins' preliminary hearing Tuesday, two investigators testified that Jenkins requested a meeting with police on September 3.
Douglas County Sheriff's Sgt. John Pankonin said Jenkins confessed to killing 33-year-old Andrea Kruger in the early morning hours of Aug. 21, saying he'' sacrificed'' her to an Egyptian god.
Police Detective Dave Schneider also testified that Jenkins confessed to killing 22-year-old Curtis Bradford on August 19 and 29-year-old Jorge Cajiga-Ruiz and 26-year-old Juan Uribe-Pena on August 11.
Police say Cajiga-Ruiz and Uribe-Pena were killed after Jenkins had family members lure them to a secluded area at Spring Lake Park.
Douglas County Public Defender Tom Riley asked investigators whether they were aware Jenkins might have mental health problems.
The investigators rebuffed the questions, but a Douglas County Sheriff's Office investigator said he had seen at least one reference to Jenkins' claims to have heard voices.
Riley also grilled investigators about their interview of Jenkins, in which they say he confessed to the killings. In particular, Riley questioned whether investigators were aware that Jenkins had invoked his right to an attorney days before the interview and whether investigators lied to him about the evidence they had.
