There was some great news late last week from Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium about a new baby elephant!
Kiki, who is an 18-year-old African elephant gave birth to a baby calf this past Friday morning. Baby and mom are doing great so far!
Just a heads up...the Elephant Family Quarters will be closed to the public to allow the staff time to observe the bonding, maternal behaviors and nursing. You'll have a chance to purchase a timed ticket to see the baby calf with the herd in the near future.
