We only have a few more weeks of winter until spring arrives, so it’s a good time for a little wardrobe refresh. So what should you add to your closet to be in style in the coming season? Amazon’s Head of Fashion, Sally Singer, has some ideas. The fashion expert shares her must-have clothing, shoes and accessories trends for spring.
Several of Singer’s trend picks focus on the color palette she predicts for next season:
- Crayola color - Think of the bright, saturated shades you see in a box of crayons and take inspo from there.
- Pop of pink or yellow - Singer expects we’ll be seeing a lot of these two colors this spring in everything from slip dresses to sweaters.
- Bold print - The fashionista suggests an easy way to try out the trend is pairing a statement top in a bold print with neutral pieces you already have in your closet.
Accessories Singer predicts will be big for spring include:
- Soft structured bags - Those big billowy pillow bags you’ve seen the last few seasons are sticking around for spring.
- Crossbody bags - She says we’ll also see crossbody bags everywhere this season in neutrals for everyday or vivid colors for a statement accessory.
- Gold hair jewelry - Claw clips are having a moment and you can make the most of the trend by sporting them in gold.
Other spring fashion trends Singer expects everyone will be wearing:
- Wide-leg jeans - When it comes to denim, wide-leg jeans in different washes are perfect for spring with lightweight sweaters and sneakers.
- Cropped cowboy boots - These shorter boots are an unexpected choice, but Singer says they’re a must-have for spring and they can be worn with everything from a slip dress to denim cutoffs.
- Chic sandals or slides - As the weather starts to warm up, flat sandals you can wear with pretty much any outfit deserve a spot in your closet, according to this fashion expert.
