Lakemaid Beer Company has been using drones to deliver its beer to ice fishermen in Wisconsin and Minnesota, with hopes of expanding the automated service by 2015. Lakemaid president Jack Supple says that the frozen lakes provide the "perfect proving ground for drone delivery." However, says Supple, “Amazon faces a lot of obstacles. Dense urban locations present a host of problems to drone delivery. But our tests are on vast, wide-open frozen lakes free of trees and power lines.
