There are times when songs come along that really hit me, but for some reason don't make it up the traditional radio charts. This is one of them.
It's called "Hard Time Movin' On" by David Bradley.

I grew up in La Vista. My radio career started when I was in college at UNL. I'm lucky enough to be married to my beautiful wife and have two wonderful children.
Here are some crazy facts about me:
- I have a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
- I coach high school hockey
- I can ride a unicycle
- I am the PA announcer for the Omaha Lancers
- I play the saxaphone as a former member of the Prairie Cats
- I went to college on a bowling scholarship
- Magic was a hobby of mine as a kid
- I raised pigeons when I was young

Brad Paisley will hit Wrigley Field in Chicago with his "Virtual Reality" tour. The date is Saturday, June 9th. The show will also feature Miranda Lambert, Chris Young, The Band Perry and Jerrod Niemann.
Carrie Underwood and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, both also associated with American Idol, will team up for an episode of "Crossroads" on CMT. The special will be called "CMT Crossroads: Steven Tyler & Carrie Underwood Live From The Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam". It will air on Saturday, February 4th at 10pm CT.
Eric Church is heading into rehearsals this week for his first headlining arena tour. He is cranking up the production of the show. However, the music will not play second fiddle. It will be just as loud as usual. Rumor has it that the powers that be are trying to get him back to the Omaha area for another show. Nothing is confirmed yet. Keep your fingers crossed.
Tim McGraw's final album for Curb Records is set to be released on January 24th. We are playing his new song "Better Than I Used To Be" on Kat 103.7. The 12-track CD is called "Emotional Traffic".

We can't thank Sunny Sweeney enough for appearing at Canfest 2011 for the Foodbank for the Heartland. She sounded great.
If you haven't heard her latest CD "Concrete", featuring "From a Table Away" and "Drink Myself Single", check out the full information HERE: SUNNY SWEENEY.
Hoss and I were lucky enough to get backstage to talk with Eden's Edge and Meghan of Steel Magnolia before the Reba concert at the Century Link Center.

Jeremy McComb joined me on the show Monday (10/17) at 4:30p. We talked about his new album, discussed how he has been keeping busy lately and played his new tune "Time".
Using a unique method, Jeremy's fans paid to produce his new album. It is available on iTunes.
Check out the full 10-minute interview, including the parts you didn't hear on the radio.

Most of you know that Tortallina, my African Sulcata Tortoise, is back home safe and sound!!! She went missing on July 8th and yesterday, August 30th, a nice couple found her and called me. It is truly a miracle as we had exhausted all ways of trying to find her. They included signage, going door to door, search parties, scent tracking dogs, newspaper ads, neighborhood association emails, facebook alerts, and a one time annoucement on Kat 103.7 by EJ (a DJ) and a picture of her on his website with my phone number. That one little picture led to our reunion!! The Fischers (the couple who found her) posted about her on facebook and someone directed them to the Kat 103.7 website!
Mrs. Fischer called me yesterday evening and we went straight there. I instantly started bawling and jumped out of the truck before it had even came to a complete stop! It seriously felt like a dream and I was in total shock! We had been trying to accept the fact that we were probably never going to see her again and with harvest season and winter coming we were full of dread. I thought about her daily and ALWAYS looked for her when I was driving or in our yard.
Here is a satellite map of the area we were dealing with while searching for her. It also shows the area near where she went missing from (A) to the area near where the Fischers found her (B). SO CRAZY!!!! She made it across 370 and was almost 2 miles from home! I wish she could talk so she could tell us about her travels and experiences....... (Copy and paste the address below if the link doesn't work)
I would like to say thanks to all my facbook friends and everyone who shared her story, kept an eye out for her, prayed for her, and supported us! Special thanks to Elise, Scott, Joni, Brynda, Austin, Greg, Tom, Ahleeya, Joe, Amber, Kyle, Tiffany, Troy, Russ, Katie, Sherri, Kelly and her husband who braved the vicious attack poodles, Karin and her search dogs, Alma for giving me her contact info, our neighbors, everyone at Rolo's party for helping and putting up with the craziness, Amanda T for emailing Tiburon, my herp friends James D and Michelle V, my mom, and all the peeps that let me put up signs! VERY SPECIAL THANKS to Tom and Brynda for the Kat 103.7 hook up, EJ from Kat 103.7, and the Fischer Family!!!!!
All of your help means the world to us!!!
Here is a very cool photo of the crowd at the Stir Cove for Eric Church.
Last night was quite a show. There is a film crew in town shooting both shows for an upcoming Eric Church DVD.
Eric played for almost 3 hours. First, he played all the hits. Then he followed it with the "Chief" album in order for the video. He will do something similar during the Friday night show.
