(The Gloss):

1) People are scared. Sometimes you can actually see the look of terror in the eyes of your victim. It's as though they're asking themselves: "Why is this happening to me? Why is this person torturing me?"
2) People will want you to go away. I've yet to be told to go away, but facial expressions say everything.
3) People think you're crazy. If you try to flirt with someone and they ask if you have mental problems, it's time to throw in the towel.
4) Your laughter becomes a psychotic cackle. It's one thing to giggle cutely, but it's another thing when you just can't stop laughing because you're not sure what else to do. Then, before you know it, you're in the midst of a psychotic cackle and everyone around you in staring in pity.
5) People are confused. As you try to pursue your flirting techniques that are failing miserably, you'll eventually detect a look of utter confusion on the face of the person whom you're supposed to be seducing. It's embarrassing for you and for them. So, just turn around and head for the door -- after you've finished your drink, of course.
6) You get a fake number. It's one thing to get a fake number and realize it later, but it's a whole other thing to get a 555 number right there to your face.
