New research shows what you choose to "like" on Facebook could reveal a lot about you, from your sexual preference to your political beliefs. Researchers analyzed more than 58-thousand American Facebook users through what they "like" and made guesses about their personalities, behavior, and even whether they drank or did drugs. Participants were then given a personality test. When researchers analyzed the data gathered from the "likes" they found strong correlations between them and the personality test results. Study author David Stillwell of Cambridge University says researchers could guess whether someone identified themselves as black or white 95-percent of the time, if a male user was homosexual 88-percent of the time, if someone was a Democrat or a Republican 65-percent of the time, and if the user was a child of divorce 60-percent of the time. One researcher warns, "Even if you think you're keeping your information private, we can learn a lot about you." (Huffington Post)
