-- Even though The Sound of Music, featuring Carrie Underwood, was panned by a lot of critics, it did get 18 million viewers. So, no big surprise, NBC is thinking about doing another live musical broadcast!
What musical should NBC do next & who should star in it?
-- An album recorded by Johnny Cash in the 80s, but shelved because he lost his record deal, will be released early next year. It's called "Out Among the Stars".
-- If you're looking for a gift for that person that has everything... how about Willie Nelson's golf course? The Perendales Cut & Putt in Spicewood, Texas, could be yours for a mere $3 million! Some of the strange rules, according to the course website, asks players not to "talk, clink coins or pass gas while someone is puttting"... "No bikinis or skimpy attire, except on women"... and "Gambling is not allowed unless you're stuck or in need of a legal deduction for charitable expenses".

--While shooting the music video for her current single "Follow Your Arrow," Kacey Musgraves got a cut on her leg after standing too close to some sharp shrubbery. On Saturday, Musgraves took to Instagram to post a picture of the bloody wound. The caption for the photo read, "Got a little too friendly with a Yucca plant on the set of my new video for #followyourarrow #ouch #idomyownstunts." The video for "Follow Your Arrow" was released this week.
--Billy Currington has announced the dates for his We Are Tonight tour, which opens in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 6th. Billy's website shows him ending the tour at Nebraskaland Days on June 28th. Joining Billy on the jaunt are Brett Eldredge, Chase Rice and Billy's dog Paco.
--Garth Brooks has confirmed an upcoming tour. Garth appeared on ABC's Good Morning America, telling Robin Roberts that he will indeed go on tour in 2014. Garth & wife Trisha Yearwood will debut their new duet, "The Call", today on GAC.
-- Adam Sandler tops Forbes' "Most Overpaid Actors" list of 2013. According to the magazine, Sandler earns $15 million per movie but delivers only $3.40 for every $1 paid. Katherine Heigl is close behind, returning only $3.50 for every dollar paid. Rounding out the Top 5 are Reese Witherspoon, Nicolas Cage and Kevin James.
--Despite mixed reviews, NBC’s The Sound of Music Live!, starring Carrie Underwood attracted 18.5 million viewers. The three-hour production was NBC’s highest-rated non-sports television event on a Thursday since theFrasier season finale in 2004.
--Scheduling conflicts were not behind Willie Nelson’s decision to back out of an upcoming SeaWorld gig. In an interview with CNN, Willie says he canceled the show because he didn’t agree with the park’s treatment of its killer whales and other sea creatures. This comes a day after SeaWorld said the Country Music Hall of Famer wouldn’t be part of next year’s Bands, Brew & BBQ.
--Less than a week after a teen was arrested for allegedly stealing a piece of wreckage from the site of Paul Walker's death, another man has tried to sell pieces of the tree the actor crashed into. An anonymous seller posted six pieces of the charred bark on eBay and was asking for at least $100 apiece, but he was flooded with hate messages and took them down.
--Family Ties mom Meredith Baxter wed her longtime partner, Nancy Locke. The couple had dated for seven years. Meredith, who has three ex-husbands, told People, "Now I understand why marriage caught on!"

--Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town will be doing more cooking on GAC. Her show Kimberly's Simply Southern has been renewed for 13 new episodes. They begin airing in the spring.
--Now that he's gone, it seems as everyone wants a piece of Paul Walker and the car he died in, including two accused thieves who allegedly made off with part of the damaged Porsche. The pair will face charges of felony grand theft and tampering with evidence.
