KFAB is
proud to join forces with the American Heart Association to fight heart disease
and stroke at the 2011 Omaha-Council Bluffs Start! Heart Walk. Teams are
forming now for the walk on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at AksarbenVillage (67th and Center).
Heart
disease and stroke are our nation’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers, and stroke is a
leading cause of long-term disability. The Start! Heart Walk is a fun and
inspirational family event that educates the community on risk factors and
prevention, while raising funds for lifesaving research and educational
programs. The walk is also a chance to honor survivors and remember and
recognize those we have lost to cardiovascular disease.
